![]() The Z88 qualifies since it was manufactured in SA even if being a copy of the Beretta but I am uncertain if the RAP qualifies since it may have been designed post-sanctions. ![]() The Vickers would qualify since it was re-chamberd in SA but the MAG or the SADF Star would not, since (as far as I know) they were purchased from Belgium/Spain and not altered in any way in SA. The Sanna 77 would qualify even if originated in Rhodesia since it was later on manufactured in SA. The modern line of Vektor assault rifles do not qualify since they are post-sanctions. Hence, the PAF junior would not qualify since it is a pre-sanctions pistol. The lines of my interest are guns (pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, assault rifles, sub-machine guns, machine guns and individual support/special purpose guns which were (i) designed, (ii) manufactured or (iii) re engineered in South Africa during the years of sanctions. The old guns of South Africa seem however to be almost forgotten and I think it is both time to save and spread such knowledge). ![]() Everyone knows everything about those weapons. Being a European I am quite bored of discussing Glocks, HKs and Sigs (If any one wants to discuss the Hämmerli 208 I am however ready at any time). The sanctions and the real need for guns in SA seems to have created the wide variety of guns and strong arms industry of South Africa. ![]() Have a clear line with the aim of eventually completing a collection of guns made in the SA during the years of sanctions. ![]()
